Our communication center is manned 24 hours a day/seven days a week, with highly trained communications officers who handle over 10,000 calls for service every year. Communications officers dispatch for both Police and Fire Departments and are the first point of contact with the public; as such, they play a critical role in acquiring and dispatching information to safety forces in the field.
Front Office | Records
The front office members coordinate case files for the Municipal and County court systems and involve journal entries for charges brought and disposition of criminal and traffic court cases. They also archive records as directed by the records retention guidelines of the Ohio Historical Society.

Jail Division
We are a 12-day facility with eight cells, two detox cells, and two holding cells. The jail has mandated standards regulated by the state of Ohio Bureau of Adult Detention. We do not house juvenile offenders. The jail population is a mix of offenders waiting to post bond, warrant pick up from other jurisdictions, and misdemeanor sentences from Lyndhurst Municipal Court.
